Mint Julep Bar

A bit of a hidden treasure is found in New Orleans Square (right outside the train station, next to the French Market) is the Mint Julep Bar.  They only have select items and easily passed by most guests. Along with coffee drinks and their famous (non-alcoholic) Mint Juleps, my favorite thing - Mickey-shaped beignet (similar to a donut hole or fritter and absolutely delicious)! Depending on the weather, I enjoy sitting along the River or under the patio seating of the French Market. This fun little place even made The Disney Food Blog's top 10 this last year, so to me,  it is a must have stop on your Disneyland day! Around Halloween they offer pumpkin beignet and around Christmas they offer gingerbread beignets. Ride Profile: Haunted Mansion

“Dear Foolish Mortals, You are hereby invited to a spirited tour via "buggy" of the home and estate of a prosperous yet departed sea captain whose elegant 19th-century mansion in the New Orleans Square was once the setting for some of the most prominent social gatherings this side of the Mississippi.” One of Disneyland’s top 10 rides (as voted in the LA Times), the Haunted Mansion fun begins even before stepping into your buggy. If you have to wait in the queue pay special attention to the tombstones, as they can be very entertaining. Once you actually get into the house, guests gather into a room, where you soon realize that there are no windows and no doors, and the famous “ghost speech” is given. As with most Disney rides, the attention to detail is phenomenal! Do not rush to get to the ride itself, take not of the changing pictures and special statues in the hallway. When you do get into your buggy, the safety rail is magically lowered as you
